I am a relative of the following families from Civitella....DiIenno, DiNatale, D'Orazio. Any information about others in the US, Italy, Aus. etc. would be appreciated. Ancesters lived in: Cannonsburg, Marysville, Birdsboro, Conshohocken, Ardmore, Plymouth Meeting Pa. First came to us in 1896 in NY. Name changed from DiIenno to DiYenno at Ellis Island. Please write with any info. Thank you. Le foto sono stupende....complimenti all'ideatore. Io sono di Chieti ma mia madre è di Civitella. I showed my grandfather Nicola Di Guglielmo this website and he loved it, we found two pictures of his cousins when they were very young ladies. This is a great way to connect! My mother is a Mastrippolito. Her grandfather was Antonio Mastrippolito from Civitella Messer Raimondo. He was born in 1895 and came to the US through Ellis Island in 1914 with his uncle Petro. His fathers name is Nicolangelo or so it says on his papers but thats all we know about his father we do not know who his mother was. He had a brother Phillip born in 1897. He married my Grammy Vera Suhobrus (She was Russian) in 1925. They had 10 children 5 boys and 5 girls (pluse one who died at 6 months). Nicholas, Pauline, Vera, Anthony, Phillip, Helen, Rosie, Johnny, Jennie, Elenore, and Petie. He came and worked on the railroad then went on to work at Lukens Steel. They just celebrated 70 years of marriage on 19 Oct 10. It's interesting how both D'Orazios and Mashintonios are from Civitella, and how the spelling of Mamie's last name has changed slightly. My family is from this area. My great-great grandfather was Domenico Matrippolito. My great grandfather was Nicolo Mastripolito.I can only assume the second 'p' was dropped when he came to america. I'm working on a family tree and can only traceback to Domenico. If you are a Mastripolito I'd love to hear from you. Searching for the Masciantonio and D'Orazio family. He is originally from Civitella Messer Raimondo, and came to America in approximately 1915. His father was Nicola Masciantonio and his mother was Julia D'Alessandro. My father was born in LaFonte. My grandmother is Domenica D'Orazio who came to the US in 1921 and married Nicholas DeYuliis. Another picture I want to ask about is foto D02 anno 1903 Filippo D'Orazio. He might be my great-great-grandfather, Domenica's grandfather. One more: foto D08 anno 1950 Bambina D'Orazio. She might be Domenica's niece and Domenica's brother Alfonso's daughter.
